Ujima Maternity Network Sista Circle
The Ujima Maternity Network Sista Circle is a monthly gathering designed for pregnant and postpartum women (up to 12 months) to connect, learn, and thrive.
This safe and empowering space focuses on education around breastfeeding, childbirth preparation, and postpartum care while offering women—particularly women of color—a supportive environment where they are truly seen, heard, and valued.
In Arkansas, where the maternal health crisis disproportionately impacts women of color, the Sista Circle provides a haven for women to share their stories, receive encouragement, and gain valuable knowledge. It is a space to be nurtured and empowered, fostering a sense of community and love.
Sista Circles take place at the Maternal Care Community Outreach events at 12PM! See calendar below for Sista Circle dates.
You are encouraged to register in advance so we can anticipate your attendance. You are welcome to bring your partner, mother, sister, or friend. Through these gatherings, Ujima Maternity Network offers a chance for women to grow, share their hearts, and embrace their motherhood journey with confidence and support.

MOM ADVOCATE
The Ujima Mom Advocate Initiative aims to create a thriving network of empowered mothers who support each other through the challenges of pregnancy and postpartum. By providing consistent, high quality support and education. We anticipate significant improvements in maternal health, reduced rates of postpartum depression, and stronger family units.
We are currently recruiting moms in 10 local counties for maternal healthcare to collaborate with Ujima as “mom advocates.”
These advocates will facilitate monthly Sista Circle meetings and provide postpartum peer support for up to 12 months after childbirth.
